Mischiabacche

Riesling and Müller Thurgau, picked at different moments and brought together, from Stefanago's vineyards high in the Oltrepò hills at 420 metres. Organic, unfiltered, fermented in steel and left on its lees.

I opened the first bottle expecting an easy white and found something else. There is real body here: it fills the mouth and holds its own at the table, alongside food rather than before it. It is the least expensive white on my list, and that says more about the price than about the wine.

Serve cool rather than cold, around 10°C, and give it a glass with some room.
