Vigne Selvagge means wild vines. It's a name that comes from a memory.

When I was a child, I used to visit my grandfather's small vineyard in southern Italy. The vines were not manicured or perfectly trained, they grew the way vines grow when left to their own devices, rooted in the soil they'd always known. That image never left me.

I grew up, moved around (Frankfurt, Dublin, Milan, Barcelona, Amsterdam), built a career in the airline industry across Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and Delta. Along the way I kept coming back to wine. A Master in Wine and Territory Marketing. An AIS sommelier certification. A WSET Level 3 with Merit. Not because I was building a CV, but because wine was the one thing that always felt honest to me.

Away from wine, I ride a Harley Davidson and play a Taylor acoustic guitar. Not because they fit any particular image but because some things just make you feel alive. I look for the same thing in a bottle.

Vigne Selvagge is the project I've been building towards without always knowing it. Based in Alkmaar, Netherlands, we import and sell wines from small Italian producers, people who grow things carefully, intervene as little as possible and put something real in the bottle. Most of them I've met in person in their vineyards, at their tables, during harvest.

We're not obsessed with labels or ideology. Natural, low-intervention, organic, these are means, not ends. What we care about is wine that tastes like somewhere, made by someone who gives a damn.

Wine doesn't have to be complicated. Some of the bottles we love most are simple, unpretentious and made to be enjoyed without overthinking. Others are more complex, with layers worth exploring and when that's the case, we're here to help you find your way in, without making a big deal out of it.
